German business sentiment rises in March

 

Germany continues to keep leading positions among economies in the Eurozone, demonstrating quite stable economic indices. German business sentiment rose in March after two months of fall. This growth justifies that German companies became more confident about their future.

 

Index rose in March to 106.7, up by 1.0 bp from February. Analysts expected growth only by 0.2 bp.

 

German business expectations reached in March 100, after it had been revised in February to 98.9. However, the index is still below a rate of late-2015.

 

According to Markit, preliminary PMI that fixes activity in German private sector remained unchanged in March at 54.1. Services activity also rises, levelling impact of manufacturing sector.
