The second largest European economy continues to resist a negative impact of global economic slowdown. Manufacturing business sentiment rose in July, because large companies started estimating positively their future and economic growth in the country. The information was released on Thursday by Insee.
France’s business sentiment rose in July to 103, up by 3 bp from long-term average level and by 1 bp from June. Experts assumed the index to fall by 1 bp to 101.
Total index that reflects business sentiment in services, wholesale sales and retail sales rose in July by 2 bp to 102.
